The group comprises couples and singles from both city and country. Whilst the group is away, local team members and past members are welcome to visit. We have an affiliation with a similar group of retired ambos in NSW. Not everyone has a van or motorhome and some choose to book on-
Previous destinations included Edithburgh, Clare and Rawnsley Park. A typical trip includes happy hours around campfires, group meals, some pub/club meals, outings to local points of interest and perhaps a local tour, all providing opportunities for reminiscences and reconnecting with old colleagues.
Past Getaways
Each event organiser will reserve all sites under Retired Ambos
- Those wishing to attend make their own site bookings directly with the venue requesting one of the reserved sites and advise the event organiser of their attendance.
- Destinations for the next year are normally decided by those attending the last event of the year.
